Our rehabilitation services

We are here to help you get back to your normal activities following an injury, illness or medical event. Our therapists work with you to help you return to work, family life, sports and other leisure activities as soon as possible.

Our rehabilitation specialists offer:

  • Neurological rehabilitation
  • Occupational therapy
  • Orthopedic rehabilitation
  • Physical therapy
  • Speech-language therapy
  • Wound care

We offer physical, occupational and speech therapies on an inpatient and outpatient basis.

Occupational therapy

Occupational therapy focuses on helping patients regain their skills for daily living. This may include tasks such as using the restroom, getting dressed and managing a household. Occupational therapists help patients find new ways of accomplishing these tasks following a medical event or injury.

Occupational therapy may look very different from patient-to-patient due to the condition they are recovering from. It may include anything from education on using assistive technologies to helping patients reintegrate into their work lives and communities.

Physical therapy

Physical therapy focuses on rebuilding strength following a wide range of conditions, from orthopedic injuries to heart attacks. Our physical therapists help patients ease pain following an injury or surgery and restore range of motion.

This type of therapy often involves physical exercise to build muscle and endurance and stretches to improve overall mobility. Our physical therapists may also assist with custom splinting to support bone and joint injuries during recovery.

Speech-language therapy

Our speech-language pathologists work with patients experiencing difficulties in communication and swallowing. This may include problems with pronunciation, comprehension or stuttering. Our speech-language pathologists also help patients who experience chewing and swallowing difficulties (dysphagia).

Orthopedic rehabilitation

Our rehabilitation specialists offer dedicated care for patients recovering from an orthopedic injury. We provide custom splinting to facilitate the healing process and offer sports medicine to help athletes and active adults get back to the activities they love.

The orthopedic rehabilitation team cares for a variety of patients, including those who have sustained a traumatic injury or undergone a joint replacement. We also provide specialized care for patients with orthopedic conditions affecting the upper extremities through hand therapy.

Spine rehabilitation

After undergoing spine surgery, patients need time to heal and recover. We help patients regain strength and mobility after spine procedures, such as laminectomies and discectomies. Spine rehabilitation helps speed up recovery time, so patients can get back to their daily lives without limitations.

Neurological rehabilitation

Our neurological rehabilitation program is available to help patients with all types of neurological conditions, including stroke. Many of these conditions can result in complications, such as memory loss and communication impairments.

Our rehabilitation specialists help patients regain cognitive and physical abilities that may have been affected by a neurological condition. This may include physical, occupational and speech-language therapies.
