Current visitor policy

Regional Medical Center of San Jose is committed to the safety of our patients, colleagues, physicians and volunteers. Our visitor policy is subject to change without notice based on the current COVID-19 cases in our community. Given our current community standards and COVID - 19 cases at this time in the community, we will now have the visitation criteria as below.

Visiting hours are 9:00am - 9:00pm, 7 days a week.

Two visitors allowed per non-COVID+ patient. Visitation with COVID+ patients is not permitted. Exceptions include:

  • visitors for patient in critical condition, when death may be imminent;
  • parent or guardian visitor(s) of pediatric patient;
  • support person(s) for patient with physical, intellectual, developmental disability, or cognitive impairment.

Masks are required to be worn in all patient care areas during the Winter Respiratory Virus Period from November 1, 2023 – March 31, 2024 per the Health Officer of Santa Clara County.

Circumstances may allow for specific exceptions to any visitation restrictions described on this webpage. Those circumstances include religious visitation as well as a designated support person for a patient with a disability to provide assistance with communication or other necessary components of the patient's treatment. All persons entering under an exception remain subject to appropriate infection control protocols.
