A Vital Role in Your Treatment

Our team of pathologists and histotechnologists provide the highest level of diagnostic services to patients and physicians.

The Pathology Department is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week by a pathologist on call. Pathologists are also on site Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm.

The Histology Department is staffed Monday - Friday from 2:00am - 4:30pm by a licensed histotechnologist and/or a pathologist laboratory assistant.

Specialty Areas in Anatomic Pathology

  • Specialized Immunohistochemical Staining: Tissue specific stains are utilized to assist in a more rapid and definitive pathologic diagnosis.
  • Cytopathology: Includes the evaluation of individual cells in fluids from surfaces (a Pap smear is the best known example).
