Whether you’re suffering from a stroke, heart attack, sepsis, trauma or any other medical emergency, we diagnose and treat our ER patients faster and better when every second counts.

Trauma Services

Why choose Regional Medical Center of San Jose’s Emergency Room?

Our verified Trauma Center and a county-designated STEMI (heart-attack) Receiving Center ensures you receive advanced care quickly. As a Comprehensive Stroke Center, our unique neuro-interventional radiology team quickly tends to stroke and cerebro-vascular patients transported by air to our Emergency Department from surrounding counties and by local emergency medical services (EMS). Regional is one of California’s first hospitals to be Sepsis Certified by The Joint Commission. We treat Sepsis as a medical emergency. Early detection and rapid evidence-based treatment reduces the risk of complications and death.

Regional has the only San Francisco Bay Area helipad certified by the Coast Guard for Blackhawk-grade air ambulance landing and is also served by CALSTAR air ambulance for transfers from six county regions.
