Expansion Project

Regional's Emergency Room Expansion and Renovation Complete

In April 2015, Regional celebrated the completion of the 3-year Emergency Department expansion and renovation project. The new ED was expanded by 4,500 square feet including a new waiting room, and includes 43 treatment rooms, 2 state-of-the-art cardiac rooms and 2 state-of-the-art trauma rooms. The project included several features to increase patient efficiency and improve patient satisfaction.

Phase I of Regional's new Emergency Department expansion and renovation, a new 4,500 square foot waiting room, was open to patients on July 6, 2013. The beautiful new addition is decorated with soothing colors and 9 new exam rooms.

CEO Mike Johnson and ED Medical Director Elaine Nelson, MD cut the ceremonial opening ribbon.
